A graduate of the University of Michigan, Ellen Wilt was a professor in the Art Department of Eastern Michigan University for many years. A few of the most recent highlights from her extensive biography includes;

at Holland Area Arts Council, Holland,

Wilt has been curator of community projects. In
2002, A Room of Your Own Show,
(inspired by a Virginia Woolf essay of the same name)
involved 179 women with over 3000 viewers at the
Guild Gallery's month long exhibit in Ann Arbor,
MI . In 2006, a collection of 150 individual interpretations
of the story of Adam & Eve was exhibited in these
cities in Michigan; Ypsilanti, Holland, and Pontiac.
In 2007, the Adam & Eve Show
traveled to the Riverside Arts Center Freeark Gallery,
Riverside, IL. New interpretations from the Chicago
area are added to the exhibit. She has won many awards
and is in numerous private collections.
